Today Is International Left-Handers Day!

Friday, August 13th, 2010

We’ve been drawing toons left-handed for about three and a half years, so we have developed a ton of respect for the lefties out there.  You guys have to deal with smudged ink and develop alternative writing styles to avoid it.  You also have to shift using your non-dominant hands when driving a manual car.  Not to mention sometimes being called a “southpaw”. Blerg. The list could go on and on.

This day is for you lefties out there!  It’s also a Friday, which is awesome!  However, it’s Friday the 13th… so be careful lefties!  Oh, and righties too.

PS.  What better day to tell a friend about Left-Handed Toons!  Here’s a sample conversation:

You: Hello dear friend.
Friend: Hello.
You: Today is Left-Handers Day.  Related to this is the site Left-Handed Toons.  They are righties, but have been drawing comics with their left hands for over three years!
Friend: My mind has been awesomed.

Hey ya meerkats I’m back

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

From my vacation!  Thanks so much to Joe, Alex, Ray, and Connor for their excellent left-handed toons.  We met Connor at ConnectiCon a couple years ago.  Not only did he manage to snag our comic number 800, but he’s also currently the curator for Cowbirds In Love, in addition to manning his own comic, Drawing Board.  HAT TRICK.

We haven’t yet met Alex and Ray IRL, but they’re total dawgs.  Buttersafe is consistently wonderful.

And as for Joe, well, what can you say about Joe?  Probably anything, because Tally Hall fans are dying to know WHAT IS UP. #savejoehawley

In other news, a few weeks ago, Jesse Young and I talked about the whole Subway cheese THING, and he posted this great article about it while I was gone.

And finally, here are a couple drawings I did while I was on vacation.  This one is a patriotic guy:

And this one is titled “Pug Butts”:

Draw Until It’s Funny!

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Surprise!

Mr. Awesome Ryan Hudson from ChannelATE and I are teaming up for a new comic called Draw Until It’s Funny!  This site has the awesome acronym DUIF, which I pronounce either “doof” or “dweef”.

So what we do is start with just an idea for the first panel and no joke in mind.  Then we just keep on drawing until the funny comes out of our funny places.  If you ever wanted to see how our minds work or like reading funny things, check out DUIF!

We will be updating every weekday.  As a bonus, we will also be featuring DUIFs from other webcomicers on the weekends!

Enjoy!
