Cabs

I saw my first car accident yesterday. Luckily, it was pretty minor. Some guy in a SUV rear-ended a cab that for some reason stopped at a green light. He didn’t hit him very hard, but it was hard enough to crack his bumper. Cab man didn’t look very happy and bearded man in the SUV looked, well, kinda indifferent.

Edit:  I think I left out some words =P  The accident happened on the other side of the street as I was walking. I’ve seen the aftermath of accidents before, but I’ve never had one happen in front of me.

So… was this the first one you saw happening or did you never even see a accident site with all the police and medics around it?

Who do you think had the upper hand, i'm not sure exactly how big an SUV is but do you think there was some bullying going on there?

    Whoa… people still drive SUVs?

You're lucky it wasn't any worse.

I have been in the vicinity of one, i was babysitting one night for the policemens two toddlers and there was an accident on the highway, some guy wrapped his car around a tree… i drove out with the kids to get their mother, all we could see were flashing lights… My mum is in the State Emergency Service, so they get to see way more crashes then me.

About a month ago I saw a truck do a U-Turn in front of a guy on a motorcycle. The motorcycle guy hit the back of the truck which sent him flying over the truck. Then he bounced off the front of the truck and onto the pavement. He was still alive for a few minutes and talking… but he passed out and died later on. :( That was the first accident I ever witnessed.

Luckily, it's my only accident I've seen; I've never been in one. I was driving behind this guy, and I see him looking over his shoulder like he wants to make a U-Turn in the middle of the road (maybe 25 mph speed limit; two lanes each side; there were solid yellow lines, too!) A car on my left drives up, not realizing he's trying to turn… and they crash front bumpers. Tires screeching and metal crunching… it was eerily similar to watching a movie, but without all the camera angles.

here in Toronto/Canada, surprisingly never really seen anything. but one time me and my friend were driving through Kentucky and it started snowing real bad and suddenly everyone on the road just became real bad drivers. swerving, skidding, trying to stop/get off the road. one guy drove ahead of us for a good half hour with his blinkers on. he amused me greatly because for half an hour i had someone to insult and make fun of :D

When I was ten, I was staring out the window of my mom's car, watching the rain, when a sports car hit the curb, flipped two times in the car, and crashed into a car on it's hood.

It was the most amazing yet horrible thing I ever seen.

that's good no one was hurt! besides being in about 3045 wrecks myself, one i saw in person was silly. it was a freak snow storm the day before easter (in central texas… very weird) and NONE of us here know how to drive in snow, so i was standing outside playing and I heard clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk and looked up to see an entire row of cars rear-end each other.

not too exciting, but funny because no one was hurt :)
